Rental Policy

 

  • Both the Main Hall and the basement rooms are available for daily or hourly rentals.  Please contact us for rental rates.  The rental fee is payable when the key is picked up.  Keys may be picked up at the Hoffman Real Estate office at 1028 Generals Highway.  Office hours are 10-4 Monday through Friday and 10-3 on Saturday.   Keys may be dropped off after hours in the mailbox on the front porch.

  • A security deposit is required with the signed Rental Request and Release.  The security deposit will be returned after clean-up, inspection, and return of the key.

  • Tables, chairs and kitchen facilities are available and included in the all day rental.

  • Renters are responsible for their own set-up and broom clean-up, including removal of all trash.  Your security deposit may be forfeited  in part or in full for failure to follow specified clean-up procedures.

  • Rental deposit is refundable if cancellation of event is given 30 days before the event.

  • Nothing is to be attached to the walls, floor, stage, curtains or ceiling by any means, for example: tape, nails, glue, pins, etc.

  • No janitorial service is available during your event.  Paper products and cleaning supplies are located in the storage closet to the right of the stage.

  • Unless applicants are hosting a fundraiser for a non-profit, charitable community organization or political event, applicant and event sponsors may not charge guests an entrance fee to attend your event.

  • It is applicant's responsibility to comply with all liquor laws, rules, and regulations. See www.aacounty.org/LiquorBoard

Liability Insurance

Information about Event Liability Insurance

 

(Required under item 9 of the Request and Release)

 

 

Special Event Liability Insurance (also referred to as Commercial General Liability) provides protection for situations in which an event holder, exhibitor or vendor must defend itself against lawsuits or pay damages for bodily injury or property damage to third parties.  

 

-The Certificate of Insurance (COI) must list the Severn Cross Roads Foundation as an additional insured certificate holder. 

 

-A minimum of $1 million in general liability coverage is required.

 

Event Insurance may be obtained by contacting this underwriter, who will help you prepare the event insurance application and will provide the documents directly to the Foundation.  This company currently offers zero deductible liability insurance for $119.
